Proudly rooted in the Haliburton Highlands and serving families throughout Haliburton County, Muskoka, Kawartha Lakes, and surrounding areas, Highland Roots Learning Academy provides personalized in-person and online academic support that fosters confidence, strengthens core skills, and promotes lasting success.
Tutoring supports elementary and middle school students in building strong foundations in reading, writing, math, and essential learning skills. For high school students (Grades 9–12), personalized tutoring provides focused support in core subjects including English, Mathematics, and the Sciences, helping students clearly understand course material while strengthening problem-solving and critical-thinking skills necessary for academic success.
Academic Coaching supports students in Grades 8–12 in developing effective strategies for organization, time management, and goal setting, helping them navigate their coursework with clarity and independence.
To enhance each learning experience, the Academy uses adaptive learning tools that personalize practice, track progress, and support motivation. These tools provide helpful insights and responsive feedback, keeping each learner engaged and moving forward with steady progress.
Located within the same welcoming space, 'The Learning Shelf' features a variety of workbooks, reading and spelling supports, math practice materials, and hands-on learning games for students from Kindergarten through Grade 12. Families are invited to stop in, explore, and ask questions, or browse the online store to discover practical tools that support learning and skill development at home.
Together, Highland Roots Learning Academy and The Learning Shelf create a resource-rich, learning-focused environment where families can access both personalized academic support and the tools needed to foster student success.
